These may be of some side benefit to classes that do have some cast spells, but are primarily melee builds. There are some Set Item and Unique Melee Weapons that have FCR as a trait. Rare Amulets and Rings can only have a maximum of 10% FCR. These are found on Amulets, Circlets, Orbs, Rings, or Rods (Scepters, Staves, and Wands). Some Rare items can have suffixes that give them Faster Cast Rate. There are no jewels, runes, or gems that give Faster Cast Rate. The Necromancer spell Teeth has a casting animation, but the Amazon's Plague Javelin has a javelin throwing animation, meaning FCR will affect Teeth but not Plague Javelin.įCR is found on the following types of gear. Necromancer spells have no Casting Delays, and only a handful of Sorceress spells have them (Blizzard, Frozen Orb, Fire Wall, Meteor, and Hydra).įaster Cast Rate only affects those abilities that have a casting animation. Faster Cast Rate does nothing to reduce this time - in fact, nothing at all reduces Casting Delays. For example, the Elemental Druid spell Armageddon has a 6-second casting delay, meaning that when players cast Armageddon, they can't cast it again for at least 6 seconds. If a spell has a Casting Delay (not all do), it means that a certain amount of time needs to pass before the player can cast that spell again. The Act III Mercenary (Iron Wolves) are sorcerers and also benefit from FCR.įaster Cast Rate does not change Casting Delays. Melee and Ranged classes will speed up attacks through Increased Attack Speed. This mostly affects caster classes such as Elemental Druids, Necromancers, and Sorceresses, but it also affects the Assassin's Traps (laying traps is based on Attack Speed the traps' effects are based on Cast Speed). You should also consult the build guides for your class and build to find out the target breakpoints for FCR.įaster Cast Rate (FCR) is a key breakpoint for caster characters who rely on casting spells as quickly as possible. In this guide, we'll discuss what gearing options your caster characters have for increasing their cast rate, reducing animation frames and improving hit efficiency.įor more information about breakpoints, please see our guide.
